Central Serous Retinopathy (CSR) is a condition in which fluid leaks beneath the central part of the retina – the macula – creating a small blister-like swelling. This can lead to blurry vision, a dark spot, or straight lines appearing distorted. CSR most commonly affects adults between 20-50 years old and has been linked to stress, steroid use, Type A personality traits, and sleep apnea. Many cases improve naturally over weeks to months, but persistent or recurrent episodes may need treatment such as laser therapy or medications to reduce fluid accumulation. Please contact our clinic if your vision changes or if you have any questions or concerns about your condition.
